What’s happening in Santa Fe

Albuquerque International Balloon Fiesta  Oct 6-14

For details on the balloon fiesta:

From a local's perspective, experiencing the dawn patrol (6 am) and mass ascension (7 am) are two highlights of the festival. I think any alumnae who wish to see the mass ascension should go; of course, it will require a very early departure from Santa Fe (the balloon park is about 50 miles away) -- say, about 4:30 am!  I would aim to get to the park no later than 6 AM. The ascension occurs in stages, but trying to get to the park after 7 am may be a nightmare.

Local activities for those not wishing to do tours – available Saturday, Sunday, Monday
